The underground world of Lifou is still mostly unexplored, althought some few expeditions (FFS in 1996, Nicolas Hulot documentary ...) and waterholes are still the territory of Canak's legends.

However some of the underwater caves are wellknown and approachable to be easily visited. The temperature of underground water (20°C), the visibility, and the room's size make an easy access to the cave diving in Lifou with safe condition and optimal security.

The island catch up with cave diving !

Stopped during couple of years, the underground diving is now back with Lifou Fun Dive. This experience concern divers in good health conditions (the access to the site is done by a walk through the bush carrying all the equipment). Those dives, which open the island heart, are done for level 2 divers minimum. Soon level 1 divers will be able to access this treasure with easier caves.

Note that all the dives are done with maximum security according to the speleology's rules.
