Our resort is located on the North-Western side of Lifou Island, straight on Sandal Wood Bay (Baie de Santal). Lifou Island is the administrative capital and the main island of the three Loyalty Islands (with Mare and Ouvea islands). It is located 200km North of Noumea (the New Caledonia capital). With a land area of 1,150km² this big island counts only 8,500 inhabitants.

Very wild and preserved, white sandy beaches stretch along its coasts, alternatively with very deep cliffs.

How to get there :

There are at least 3 daily flights to Lifou Island from Magenta domestic airport in Noumea (35 min), or the longer but cheaper choice of the boat shuttle from Noumea's Port Moselle.

Accommodation :

The range of accommodations you can find on Lifou Island is very wide, from the friendly and learnfull inhabitant case (to share the local life and traditions) to the Drehu Village international resort on the unique Chateaubriand white sandy beach.

Climate :

Cooled by the surrounding Pacific Ocean, Lifou enjoys a sunny spring climate all year, marked with 2 main seasons : dry winter from June to August (average air temperature of 20° and 24° for the water) and a warm and humid summer (air 30° to 34°, water 29°)  We advise to dive all year long with a single piece 5,5mm wetsuit.
