Some of most gorgeous sites in Lifou. Lifou allows easy dives on sites where the underwater wildlife is really exceptional and varied. The location a bit south from New Caledonia brought the archipelago sheltered from the coral's whitenness, the reef are vigorous and show a rich and impressive species variety. The alternation with currented and sheltered areas allow the developement of gorgonias and soft corals, and also big fish. the sites can fit all divers level, although some drift dives' spot, "2 stars" or "advanced" divers level is desirable.

Gorgone's reef, like is name says it, is a Gorgon's garden. Some coral pinnacles arise from 40m deep and create a multicolor and exuberant life. Gorgon of several meters span are covered by anthias and wrasses. |
